Rose lucks out. After two dead ends, she opens the door with childish glee to Gale's room. "Jeez, he liked a big room. It's nice in here. Peaceful like. I wonder how anybody could go insane in a room like this." Curious and figuring she couldn't get in trouble, Rose proceeds to snoop around the drawers and desk.

Bern stops with his spells for a moment and decides to look at the books. He scans through most of them until he comes across an odd looking book on a shelf. "This one looks interesting." He takes it back to his chair and starts reading the book of spells. "Hmmmm... this looks interesting!" He reads for a moment and stands up. He closes his eyes and slowly mumbles a few words, He then starts yelling loudly. After a while shadows start to gather around Bern's one arm. They crush together tightly packing themselves into what looked like a shield. After the shadows stopped gathering a shield the length of Berns arm appears, it looked almost transparent except for the black hazy look. "YES!"

Rose sighs, more then a little disappointed. There were no letters, no diaries, no anything of intrest. In a foul mood, she kicks his bed and leaves the room. "I'll come back later. I can't leave that gargoyle-freak alone for too long, who knows what he'll try to steal. Not a theif. Can't believe I fell for that." [i]She hurries back to the library and sees Bern's new shield. "What do you think you're doing?"

"Hey this is new!" Bern looks over at Rose and smiles feindishly. "How do you like it?"

"It'll make you that more of an annoyance to kill when the time comes." Secertly, even to herself, she's awed by the shield. "That'd be really cool if I didn't hate him so much."

Stalking over to her chair, she glances towards Reeve and sighs heavily. More issues.

"Allow me to try." Deciding this was a good way to vent her anger and frustrations, Rose draws Fate and swings it with all of her surprisingly formidable strength at Bern's new shield.

Rose stares with intrest at the shield as she absent-mindly replies to Reeve, noting that he was finally speaking to her. "When I was little, I had a gaurdian, a wolf named Wolf. She could assume a human form, and when she did, this was her sword. When she was killed, the sword appeared by my side-a last present from my gaurdian. Her spirit is inbued in this blade. Whenever I'm in real deep trouble, Wolf appears in my mind and gives me the courage and wisdom to carry on."

"My name is Roselenna. You know that well, so stop calling me girl. And Wolf doesn't solve my problems for me. She helps. Like you helped me." She moves in front of him. "Reeve, listen to me. You created the dream. I got in-whether by your invite or whatever else. But you cannot deny that you talked to me, that you treated me well there. You whispered of deeper feelings. Is any of that true?"

Reeve turns in mid-stride and walks quickly and intimidatingly over to her, getting close to her and looking down. "I WOULD NEVER! You stupid, blind thing!! I spend enough time trying not to touch or be touched! The mere thought of such repugnance!! I would have nothing to do with the submission to physical longing. All seek to enslave you, and I've already got this ravenous beast of insanity to contend with! Do not ever bring this up around me ever again!" With that, Reeve storms out down the hallways, eventually finding himself in a dungeon. "Oh how cliche'..."

Rose screams at him as he leaves. "You son of a bitch! You lied to me, and now that you've met me in person, you're a coward!"

She turns back into the library, her face turned from Bern. Her shoulders shudder violently as she sobs.

"That guy has got some nerve! You don't treat a lady like that no matter who you are." Bern clenches his fist and looks at Rose. He walks over and puts his hand on her shoulder to try to calm her down. "I really hate doing this... here I go" "Hey Rose it's ok. I know how it feels to be treated that way, you just have to be strong."

"No, you don't! You're just big and ugly and horrible, just like everybody else in this godforsaken castle! I don't need your pity, just leave me alone!" Rose's voice is cut through with sobs. She buries her head into her hands and shudders again.

"Try having your father being murdered right in front of you! Then you'll really know what heartbreak is about!" Enraged from the harsh words and ungratefullness Bern storms out of the library punching a chair and sending it flying across the room.

Rose ignores his angry display and stares at a wall for a while, ignoring the tears staining her face. Eventually, she sighs and gets up. "Damn it all." Leaving the library, she sets out in search of Bern and Reeve, not really caring who she finds first.

"That girl dosen't know what she is getting herself into." He walks around the dungeon, looking into the cells, many open and smelling, but no bodies are found. "I suppose she just wants me to accept her..."

A figure, only visible to Reeve appears on the ceiling of the dungeon. Reeve looks up to it. It looks like the head of a devil, but the voice doesn't match. "Where do you think that will get you? She intruded into our world and took it away, and you're thinking of befriending her? You're very contradicting, Reeve."

"I don't know..."

"Do you think youre wise boy? You should know better to mess with a lady like that. Lecture? Hell no! I haven't come to lecture... I've come for blood!" Bern unsheathes his Serpent Blade and points it at Reeve. He then starts circling Reeve to find an opening.

Bern dives out of the way scraping his arm on the wall as he lands. He stands and waits for Reeve to turn. "I hate fighting these freaks!"

Bern, lunges sideways but from not paying attention earlier gets his arm sliced. Gray blood starts seeping through the wound. "Bastard!" Burn lunges forward with SB and trys to slice Reeve's arm.

Bern gets smashed against the wall from the wind. His wings acted like a sail and pushed him harder then would normally."Infernal... wind!" Bern strains to fold his wings to reduce some of the wind pushing him.

Bern pushes off the wall making the spike go all the way through to free himself. He laughs as the spike realeases him and he falls to the ground. "Oh that felt so good! I got a chill up my spine! You're strong i'll give you that Reeve." He looks up at Reeve.

The spike dissipates and falls to the ground in small shards, then sinks into the ground. "Not nearly as strong as I could be..." Reeve sits next to Bern, calm now. He had removed his white trenchcoat earlier and laid it on the ground and was now looking for it. "I still have alot more I can do with these powers. My father tells me I get the abbilities from my mother. She was supposed to be a Goddess."

"Fasinating! If you think this fight is over Reeve then your wrong! I have more then just good looks!" Bern stands and retreives Sb, pointing it at him. He closes his eyes and mumbles some words, the shadows then start to gather towards him and Bern creates his shield that rests on his arm.

"Nice try!" Bern whips his tail upward splitting the slab in two. The two pieces fly apart and go either way of bern almost hitting his arms as they fall to the ground. "Im a creature of the night, Reeve. I hear better then i see!" Bern slashes with Sb and from the other way with his claws.
